MAYRFELD has been recognized this year by WirtschaftsWoche as top law firm for data protection law in Germany. Peter Lotz, partner at MAYRFELD, has been included for the third consecutive time in WirtschaftsWoche’s list of the most renowned lawyers in Germany. The lists of the best lawyers for data protection and IT law were published in the July 4, 2025 issue of the leading business magazine. WirtschaftsWoche is Germany’s leading weekly business publication.
For this year’s rankings, WirtschaftsWoche through the Handelsblatt Research Institute (HRI) surveyed more than 1,600 lawyers from 200 law firms, asking them to name the most renowned peers in IT and data protection law. Based on the jury’s evaluation, 25 law firms were selected for IT law and 30 for data protection law. The jury consisted of Philipp Haas (Bosch), Stefan Hanloser (ADAC), Achim Schunder (C.H. Beck), and Claas Westermann (RWE).
